i woke up around 5:20 am coz i can't sleep ;(

there's a fly zooming about around my bed and makes this zzzzz noise.

the pitch of the zzzzz increases...WEIRD.
usually it'd decrease coz it sucks blood and has to fly slower

after i was bitten once i can't sleep...

i remembered the 2nd day i came back i got bit
(JUST KILLED A FLY RIGHT NOW MUHAHHAA)

After a whole all-nighter last night of watching all 11 episodes of Nodame Contabile...I have to do my final project ...NAO.

Well.. watching the drama was part of the project! lolol. I am writing about the usage of classical music in the film, and how the drama is well-received despite classical music sales are fallingggggg

yeah yeah. i think i can write a good 10 pages with that ;(

Well. Palm Springs is about 2 hours

of UCLA, and to me that's quite far inland. it takes 2 hrs to get to SAN DIEGO from UCLA...so now you have a bit of comparison. CRAZY! I would go there for...desert parties...? It gets windy like SF at nights coz it's near the hills. Looks like typical suburbs...i'm thinking Cupertino/palo alto ish ...steven creek road lookalike LOL

He also included Venice Beach!! Nice place to go...never been there before tho, but from the reviews I have seen on the web (you can search around), it doesn't seem like a place where Beach Blondes go....

Overall, Love the song. coz I'm born in California anyways...

Note: I am contemplating about changing the title of my blog. One of my readers has noted that it sounds so "Christian" I didn't even realize! haha

Of the 19 years of my life, I realized that my name is pronounced in 2 ways.

Most of my friends call me "Jes-sic-ca" 3 syllables

However, I am starting to get people that call me "Jess-ka" 2 syllables

WOOOOOOOOO~

Usually when I introduce myself I would pronounce my name with 3 syllables, because...

when my dad named me, my name was pronounced in 3 syllables. Maybe it's easier to pronounce...

now that i think of it, I like my name in 2 syllables more, bc Chinese people like to make fun of my name by the direct translation of "jerk see ka" (BIRD POOP) in Canto...

i procrastinated today and hung out with the same 2 ppl for 12 HOURS. there were altogether 5 ppl to begin with, and then it dwindled down to just 3 of us coz it's mother's day. and then we practically just chatted and did hella random shit the whole day...

worth it? ... YES. ALL procrastination tactics are definitely worthwhile if it's some huge studying stint that'll commence for ....HOURS.

My Nose Stud Story

Let me begin my post with my face.



if you look closely, u can see my nose stud on my right nostril.

it's really small bc i didn't want a nose ring! n i wanted something cute!

I had this pierced at Freak Chic in Melrose approx. 3 week ago. Mat Joseph is my piercer and he's SO pro at what he's doing that it's worth paying the amount! (wont disclose here but if u pm me i'll let u know)

I get asked questions from my crazy friends like,

Q: What happens when u get sick?

A: I don't know yet coz i didn't get sick, but i suppose i just have to be extra careful. However, when i blow my nose the air from my nostrils will push my stub upwards (almost a comical effect)

Q: What's really inside your nose? Is there a backing?

A: When i was picking out the stud i wanted, the studs look like this:



After it was pierced, I felt the shape seems like :


so the piercing doesn't just slide out. removing the stud is quite tricky & my piercer suggested i go back to him to remove/change studs

Q: so..DID IT HURT?
A: No. i felt a tear trickle out of involuntary response, but otherwise i felt no pain. i give it a 2/10 ... LOBES hurt more. trust me.

Q: Was ur nose pierced with a needle or gun?
A: needle. For sanitary reasons, ALWAYS get ur piercings done with needle. I had my cartilage(both sides) pierced with a gun and I am thankful it healed well. I have two lobe piercings each side: with gun and needle. Needle is less painful, and won't pop any arteries and a pro knows how to prevent infections!

So to readers who had their nose pierced with a stud, you may have gone through the process where the stud has SUNKEN into the nose like quicksand. It seems REALLY scary coz it might just sink right into the nostrils and there'll be a HUGE hole in ur nose.
My stud has sunken in the first week, and that is why when I hung out with my friends they thought it was really small. but as weeks go by, my stud grew back out bc my skin is healing, and my friends usually make remarks about how that's the only thing they stare at bc it's SO INTRIGUING.
Also, if your stud has sunken in, do not panic crazily. studs normally will do this. that's why usually pros will reccommend getting pierced with a loop first. Keep pushing your stud up from ur nostrils at all times, and eventually, ur nose will heal and ur body won't reject the piercing. Just clean it!!!

Q: what do u use to clean it? do u use H20?
A: I know other people use H20, but I use a cleanser lotion, given to me by my piercer. I clean my stud and the occasional grime near it with a Qtip dipped with a pea sized amount of c-lotion, then dip the other side of the qtip with water to lightly 'rinse.' I do this two times a day. When I wake up and before I sleep.

Works well. no infections. healing nicely.

Piercing should be healed in 3 months, and it's best to keep the piercing on for a year.

Q: How do u like..wash ur face?
A: be very careful around the pierced area...i'm very gentle with my face anyways

Q: So if you take off the piercing, can u like breathe a tiny bit-ish through ur pierced hole?
A:....WHAT?

Q: Will you ever change your stud?
A: Depends. i m really a lazy person.

Well this is for the college girls out there.

I don't know about you, but I HATE walking up and down bruin walk. and it's not that i get tired of the walk...

It's coz something like this might happen:

POOR GIRLS.

I hate how this happen...or omg...when some girls be wearing their stockings...and wear a long shirt/tunic...n when they wear their backpacks...so the shirt rides up. Then if the girls hot, the guys will be just walking behind her... and if the girl's not, the guys will laugh. (TRUE story...i really hear them talk ;[ )

I'm not laughing at these girls, i'm just letting ya know, girls, we gotta be careful!!

Well, I don't even know if this has happen to me, but when i wear shorts probably....i think 1 time when i was walking up, i was wearing really loose hollister shorts and a jansport backpack, so if my shorts did ride up..it's possible.

Well, along with heading to good o' Forever,
I also went to Sake House (SO GOOOD) with my friends Arlene & Audrey



They are so much fun to hangout with!!
I didn't take any pics of myself coz i got terrible bloodshot eyes and the food was much more enticing... It was so hard keeping myself from drooling while processing the food pics ;[

That was my FOURTH time going there. I really like their food. I know it's not like authentic authentic* japanese food coz the waiters sound korean and everything is like the chop suey of Chinese food but ..I gotta say the food is good enough for a poor college kid like me!

Ambience is awesome!! Love the flowers. Love how it's synthetic coz i have pollen allergies.



We came during Happy Hour coz we get REALLY good cheap food!!
This is their Crispy Tuna for $3 ONLY! (you get 2 servings..it's only 1 here)



The tuna is really...good .

What was SUMPTUOUS was the fresh half shelled oysters..It warranted an Usher OMGOSHH



Then we got the Monster Roll. It's $7 coz it was happy hour! Spicy tuna on top with wtvr stuff in there i dont remember i just loved the tuna!!

Lastly we ordered fried tofu! I am personally not a huge fan of tofu coz it just taste... like fermented beans..I love tofu hua (tofu cake?) so good

summer sessions

So i'm currently taking summer sessions at ucla. WOOT WOOT!

i love taking summer sessions. people that come here are willing to put their time into studying and academic achievement. It's a smaller community so i don't have to see a lot of people i don't like. YAY!

Plus I love my current roommates so far, they are amazing and already, I have learned to tolerate their slamming door habits, and them liking the windows closed. It's not too bad.

I love how each one of us have our own awesome headphones/earphones! the room is always amazingly quiet. :D

Oh yeah. and i'm gonna put forth one year of hell and i'm gonna see if i can make it. if i can, then this will definitely piss a certain somebody off. i cant wait to put my plan into action!

o, what i'll be doing is a year-long process, so please, be patient and i'll be updating in the meantime. but i promise in the end u readers will be laughing along with me :D

i'm going to be a guest performer tomorrow. can't wait (to get this over with) gonna head to rehearsal in 2 hours. haha

ANYWAYS:
Lots of happy (and not happy things also) happened today!
I woke up tired and groggily despite having 9 hrs of sleep everyday since sunday. I don't get it...What is it that keeps me fatigue! I asked my Dr during check up and she told me I was dehydrated. I guess so. I had to lie to her about drinking even 2 bottles a day. i didn't know that wasn't normal until my friend came to my house and kept asking for water cuz my house is dry.
WHAT?

I don't even feel thirsty at all! I adapt quick!!! I will live 30 min more than my friend in a hot desert without water for a day. I swear i can totally survive that.

Then I had to drive my mom to Chinatown to do grocery shopping..on my way back there are these fatass ladies in a blue sedan (it's MERELY for descriptive purposes folks) didn't see my car while merging, so being the outright efficient asshole i cut right in front of them...slow for a bit, then pedaled up real fast...LOL those ladies got soo pissed off they changed lanes then tried their middle finger on me and i just looked at them with no expression...i tried to conc. on the road and not laugh but it's too funny...

I didn't mean to do that. mom suddenly told me she wanted to go home instead of lucky's so i had to make a quick move or crash... but then those ladies should've slowed when they see my car....when they're going to merge to another lane. shiet

ok. u can call me low class bitch i don't care! LALALALALLALA

plus i found out where i'll be living at this summer! SPROUL HALL (no not in berkeley it's at UCLA!!!) and i'm rooming with a random and a friend who was also my roommate last summer :D it's going to be so much fun i can feel it!!

As long as i get past this summer i can live through the year!

TIME AND TIME AGAIN

The reason why I haven't posted since I got back home is BC:
so much shiet going on I just can't stop and think at all.
I'm losing my memory at a young age of 18..

Went to my Dr for check up...i said "I don't know" or "I don't remember" to anything she asked. Feel so tired though.

Anyone get this feeling where you feel bloated, and want to exercise, but you're TOO TIRED to? and you want to sleep but cant cuz u dontwant to wake up feeling more HEAVY and bloated. and loss of appetite?

That's me. Since the checkup. Since the Pho I ate after the checkup. Since my blood was drawn after checkup.

Gah. And that. has already been four days.

I really want to feast in LA.

and those stupid cheap-ass apple earphones CRACKED. sigh. must get new ones...time for the uclastore bought earphones...

After eating breakfast western omelette's for a year, I know what is making it so SALTY and inedible. (IMO of COURSE)

Don't get me wrong, there are people that love sodium so much all they have in their omelets is ham and bacon. But to top it with CHEESE is really salty! I feel your hypertension!

So I told the lady making my omelets at covel today to put egg whites with everything but SPINACH and HAM.

She thinks she's so smart after filling my order(I thought she was pretty smart too), Until I took a first bite on it and it was VERY SALTY. WT!?
it's bc she IGNORED MY ORDER and added ham in her convenience! (There was a mixture of everything but spinach in a bowl) I thought she got SMART about students that don't like ham and did her own special mix of everything but spinach and ham! I saw two bowls where there usually were one. O. I"M SO WRONG.

So I gulped down my extra salty omelet. I usually have my omelet with 'a little bit of both', meaning Feta and Cheddar. 2x SODIUM.

Not the first time they messed up my order. I asked for egg white they give me regular; I asked for everything but SPINACH they gave me everything but TOMATOES (how does that even sound similar?!).

But the omelets are VERY FAST in comparison to De Neve. It's takes 1/2 the time to get specialized omelets in Covel.

I was craving for soy milk so much I made 5 rounds for it. yuummm. For my bday if you give me just soy milk I'll be happy to the max.

That really opened my eyes(lol). I can feel my hypertension...it's coming in the future...

That was how my day began. I underestimated the amount of people showing up for breakfast during finals week. Not that it bothers me. I'm just lucky to not have one of those early bird finals;D

psh. My first final is tonight at 6:30. I hope I make it.

light headed blogging

So I slept late last night because I was trying to send this group email out to my group members in this project due upcoming tuesday. Apparently, life stinks because I send the email not once but TWICE. I even wrote the content differently for both...and I was going to wake up this early to resend it again.

Stupid UCLA webmail...If my friend/member did not reply to my email (what was she doing up all night?!) I wouldn't have known it was even sent. That email wasn't even archived into my SENT MAIL FOLDER. How am I suppose to know sent or not ar! SO ANGRY

Now all my group members are probably like....why she sent 2 emails with different contents in them... so weird.

My skin is starting to break out again...I CAN FEEL IT. its dry, itchy everywhere! + I ran out of lotion/emulsion...none of them left. and of course mom will not buy me more lotion she thinks i'm crazy but I REALLY DO NEED IT....

ok that's it for now it is around 645 am and need to eat + class ttul

math 31b professor: this guy(the professor) will ask a math question to the class, and no one responds cuz it's 9:30 in the morning (EARLY). then he gets frustrated and doesn't continue the lecture until SOMEBODY answers. so SOMEBODY got to whip their calculator and their brains out for the class to continue. One time he got so bored he was tying his shoes in front of the class while somebody computes for the answer.
Plus I thought math is an universal language!? he writes 9 like g. seriously. For the first FIVE WEEKS(I..really should've got it in the first week...but i dont even go to his class sometimes cuz i think it's a waste of time) I have no idea that g meant 9...IT MAY AS WELL BE A VARIABLE. what he can confuse students by writing g and 9..mix them up...

A&0 1: I skipped 2 weeks of his class...until I realized I dont really get how to do his(also professor!) hw and it's not mentioned on the lec slides posted on his dept site. This guy is cool but he just...USES SO MUCH BIG VOCAB!!? ThAT SOO DETERRED me from frequenting his class...Even in his slides...He would use "gyres" in one of his slides. WHY don't just put WHIRL!?! I not a A&0 person...I can't read beyond simple english..;[

Yeah..interesting professors but I don't hate them don't get me wrong. If I really do why am I killing myself for 8 more weeks..crazy. Yeah. just in case my professors are nosy and end up googling their class titles and names during their spare time checking to see if anything good/bad comes up, I WRITE GOOD THINGS I PROMISE! if all u see here about yourself are all bad , your eyes need to get checked!

LOL. All I got to say is: she's damn frustrated when I just stared at her funny. I just think she's purely shameless. I forgot these people DO EXIST. Gosh just got reality check ok

UPDATE UPDATE! so important must have caps to begin

So lately, many of my friends on Facebook seemed to have created their own blogs via Blogspot. I suppose that is pretty cool, but I have been on this blog for...4 years already. Can't beat that ;]

Well. I lost my inspiration to blog lately. I think it's because I needed a break. I grew lazy editing my pictures, I supposed I feel a lot more self-conscious nowadays since I am in college and I have to show my face everyday to the public. UGH.

I suppose I needed time to study for my classes. For the past 2 weeks I was tired, and consistently slept... for more than 12 hours per day. For this week, I have skipped 2 lectures and 3 sections. Ok ..maybe skipping one more today. ;[

UGH. such a terrible student here.

I wonder if people are still reading this blog since I never updated it ;d I do not feel like publicizing this blog like I used to...I don't feel the need to anyways! People will come and read if they find my stuff funny! And also because...I don't like following such trends. I do not like being grouped into those newbies who just started their blog and needs publicity. I feel that as an old(but still amateur) blogger does not need to sell my blog with such desperation.

Ok. I feel so bimbotic nowadays. I have been obsessed in putting arcrylic crystals/rhinestones...whatever that is blue or silver or white and shiny on my personal belongings! I have already started on my camera. Will show in next post. It makes me happy just looking at it...I'm so crazy. I want to put it on my whitebook (the white macbook), but since I am buying myself a new one during the summer, I am giving the mac to my brother anyways...his Sony vaio...is BEYOND REPAIR)

I am so proud of my whitebook. I bought it in 2006...still running strong! can still last forever! Usually all my PCS are...broken.. in a YEAR. I bought the BenQ joybook s61...when it first came out in Hong Kong

Reason I want a new Macbook is because of the new Snow Leapord updated OS coming out! I have been dying to use! Also...I could not run all the newer applications on my this Tiger (I KNOW...), I REALLY REALLY hate when I wanted to dl an application, then a window pops out stating I could not download because it is not COMPATIBLE.

So stupid.

I need an external harddrive too. Am looking through Amazon...but usually the prices are jacked up...and its hard for me to find good deals.

So lately, my school life is ok.
But my personal life is pretty turbulent.

I am hating where I am living at.
Let me tell you. Don't get random roommates unless you have no choice. Don't tell me I did not warn u! Of a verbal survey I have done. The possibly of having a satisfying dorming experience with a random person is close to 30% to none.

During summer 2008, I dormed at Rieber Vista, and it was very fun. I loved my roommates dearly, and we still keep in touch! (I just ate with my old roommie for breakfast today) So not all random roommates are bad. It's just whether you get lucky or not.

I thought I was pretty lucky. NOT.

ok. Enough of venting. I was told one week ago I have a performance today at the Tom Bradley International Center (It's right next to the dorm/Dykstra) Heck. I had to learn two new pieces and be able to perform it on stage. I figured I will mess up so much, I did not tell anyone I am performing today, nor did I bother getting tickets for anyone to show support. HAHAHA. I have done this since middle school. X_X

I would love to load some pictures up, but I am too tired! I promise I'll load up something nice and it won't be a disorganized blog post like this! I just want to get my thoughts out since I can't really do so in the uncomfortableness in my dorm. (shows how restricted and confined I am right now)

I am tired because I FINISHED WATCHING PI LI MIT (a Taiwanese Drama) on youku . com! SO HAPPY! WHOLE DRAMA FIN! I watched the DVD version since the TV version was quite slow. I love the internet ;D I love the asian websites. I feel so gifted in knowing another language! YESSSSSSSS

never heard of Pi li mit? I am terrible with summaries(I sound like those writers in fanfiction.net where they go 'I am not good with summaries but...)but here's my take on it.

So it's about 5 students who go to this very smart elite school, and they are presented with mysterious cases, which are called "games" and they solve a mystery per episode. Their advisor is Miss Cherry, and the students are code named 007, 187, 747, tian muo xing(forgive my pin yin SUCKS ASS) 007 is the genius of the group; his father was this really smart guy who wrote books about his own cases and mysteries. 187 is this flirtatious guy, who uses his looks to woo girls (and in some instances guys) to attain information to solve the case. 747 loves to be the "Hero"; and can hear very far away (helpful in knowing if there's eavesdroppers) tian muo xing is the only girl in the group of students, she also helps solve cases, usually by helping 007. Together, their group is called pi li MIT.

So. There's romance, comedy, definitely suspense. I liked it so much I did not even dare skip an episode! :D
